Beagle

Beagles are an excellent choice for families with young children — they are patient, playful, and remarkably tolerant. They thrive best in a home with a securely fenced yard, as their powerful nose will lead them on escape attempts given any opportunity. For expats living in HCMC or Hanoi apartments — a very common setup — a Beagle can adapt reasonably well, but daily walks and regular exercise are non-negotiable to keep their energy in check. Vietnam's heat and humidity are worth factoring in: avoid intense outdoor exercise during the midday peak (33–38°C in the south), and opt for early morning or evening outings instead.
