The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is the more popular of the two Corgi varieties, and the one most people picture when they hear the name. Its most iconic feature is the signature heart-shaped rear — a result of the tail being docked shortly after birth (though a small number are born naturally bobtailed). The ears are upright and slightly pointed, giving the face a distinctly fox-like expression. Compared to the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, the Pembroke has a lighter, more refined bone structure overall.
A great match for active owners and families with moderate living space — including apartment dwellers, which suits the typical expat lifestyle in HCMC or Hanoi. Pembrokes adapt well to apartment living as long as they get a daily walk and regular exercise to burn off their surprisingly energetic nature.
